Juliet - Guinness World Record

Mr. Bill McNeese is trying to set a new Guinness World Record for "Most tomatoes from a single plant". Follow his journey and read his blog! 

  • 1. March 25 - Juliet, 17 days after planting. It grew from a height of 9 inches (23 cm) to 15 inches (38 cm). You can see the yellow flowers already.

  • 3. April 30 - The plant is now 43'' (110 cm) tall. Growing about 6'' (15 cm) a week. Bill is getting the planting area set up.

  • 4. May 14 - About two months after planting. 58" (147 cm) tall, and just as wide. Bottom of the plant has already ripe tomatoes.

  • 5. 14 May - Overhead view. The wire mesh is 6 ft. 5 in. (2 meters) from the ground. We are set up for shade cloth this year, in June, when the sun turns scorching.
